GOOD TO KNOW

Questions about this trip.

Can this itinerary be changed?

Yes. Use it as a starting point: we can adjust the number of nights, the accommodation style, the order of the route and add or remove destinations.

When can this trip start?

On any date, subject to availability. Tell us your preferred dates and we will check the accommodation and connections for you.

How much does it cost?

Every proposal is quoted personally. The price depends on the season, group size, accommodation and any changes you make to the route.

What is not included?

The published programme does not include: International flights to and from Tanzania; Tanzania visa fees; Travel and medical insurance; Optional activities in Zanzibar — snorkelling, diving, spice and Stone Town tours; Optional cultural visit to a Maasai village; Alcoholic and premium beverages; Personal expenses such as laundry and souvenirs; Tips and gratuities for guides, drivers and lodge staff.

Can you guarantee a river crossing?

No. The migration is wild and unscheduled. We can discuss a seasonally appropriate area and time to observe, but crossings and sightings cannot be promised.

Is Ngorongoro the same as Serengeti?

No. They are distinct protected landscapes. The crater provides an enclosed volcanic setting, while the Serengeti is a much larger plains and river ecosystem.
