THE EXPERIENCE

Elephant country, explained.

Tarangire is a landscape of giant baobab trees, river valleys and open woodland. In the dry season, the Tarangire River becomes a vital water source, drawing wildlife from the surrounding area.

It is especially known for its elephants. Close to Arusha, Tarangire is often the first park on a northern circuit and a rewarding place to slow down before heading further west.
